Source says

Both pinned project readings agree on the child Thomas, father Thomas, mother Josepha, the parentage-cell name Job, the dates, house 57, and the later note. The ledger reads the surname as Dobes; the book caption reads Dobesch. The family genealogy reports a Thomas-specific explanation for Dobeš, Dobesch, and Dobesh across languages, but the underlying 1877 original-object review remains open and the report does not decide which exact letters the priest wrote here. The literal 1865 surname remains open pending an independent reread.

We conclude

The entry directly records the birth, baptism, household, parents, and later marginal note. A pinned family-genealogy report explains the spelling relationship for Thomas; the underlying 1877 source gate and the literal 1865 reading remain open.

Still uncertain

It does not identify a particular later U.S. resident or supply a migration date, destination, vessel, or settled surname spelling.

Why this record matters

The entry joins a Moravian birth, named parents, and a later migration annotation in one original register without turning that clue into an unproved U.S. identity.

Editorial note

Only unambiguous given names and “v Americe” enter the literal-name index. The family-specific spelling history is useful context, not a substitute for paleography: Dobes and Dobesch remain visible as proposed readings but are not indexed from this record.
