Public promise

We tell the truth about people, records, uncertainty, and the institutions that preserved family memory. We present Catholic parish and sacramental history from inside its tradition when the evidence and context warrant it, without implying that every name-bearer is Catholic, that faith proves genealogy, or that participation requires belief. The invitation is carried by beauty, service, witness, and honest history.

Ten objectives

1. Index discoverable occurrences within explicit, countable source scopes.
2. Measure coverage, gaps, negatives, access limits, and unreadable material.
3. Resolve identities reversibly and preserve competing explanations.
4. Publish only reviewed, cited, privacy- and rights-eligible claims.
5. Provide equal Czech and English access to core research and corrections.
6. Keep living people private by default and permissions granular.
7. Preserve parish, sacramental, social, occupational, land, migration, household, and community context.
8. Make corrections auditable, reversible, and propagated to every output.
9. Offer durable open descriptions and exports where rights allow.
10. Build succession, independent review, backup, and restore capability.

Free core truth

Eligible evidence descriptions, citations, coverage, methods, corrections, and the historical context needed to understand a record remain free. Payment or membership will never change an evidence grade, suppress a conflict, buy a lineage conclusion, or determine search prominence.
