Participate
A free verified-email account is planned; the homepage currently shows an inactive preview. There is no registry, upload form, checkout, or automatic mailing-list enrollment in this release. Participation begins with reading the methods, checking citations, and asking precise questions.
The surname archive itself stays public. A verified account should add personal utility, not hide the evidence.

Keep private notes and source requests that are not published or treated as Society conclusions.
Prepare corrections, transcriptions, and context as private drafts, then track review status before anything can become public.
Stronger boundary: living-family workspaces, contact forwarding, publication permissions, merges, and bulk export require more than a basic email account. Signup never grants permission to publish, research a living person, or send optional updates.
Resolve a bounded book, image, folio, page, or collection while recording the complete denominator and access state.
Transcribe an assigned region from the original, preserving literal spelling and uncertainty.
Read the same masked region without seeing the first conclusion.
Document historical jurisdictions, houses, estates, occupations, customs, and institutions with citations.
Translate reviewed claims while preserving evidence labels, uncertainty, and local terminology.
Test a challenged claim and make sure every dependent output changes together.
If you choose to write to hello@dobesh.org, your message begins ordinary correspondence. It does not enroll you, create a public profile, authorize research use, or grant publication permission. Those uses require separate, explicit choices in a future approved workflow.
The project must finish separate permissions for private research use, contact forwarding, Society updates, Press contact, and named public display; document retention and deletion; secure attachments; contributor rights; and a receipt that lets a contributor withdraw one permission without losing the others.
