Two reasons, and both of them are on purpose.
The first is our privacy rule. The only living people this Society writes about are public figures, written about strictly in their public capacity. No living relative appears on this site by name, ever, no matter how notable they are within the family, and the family is full of people who are notable within it.
The second is the proof standard. It would be easy to fill three screens with impressive strangers who share the name. We would rather have four entries we can stand behind than thirty we cannot.
